would mixing salt and water in a spray bottle have the same effect on my hair that a high end beach spray for your hair would have (Bumble & Bumble etc.) ??

Are there any other ingredients i should add?

Or any other ideas on how to get beachy waves?

  1. i actually tried that and it didnt work...maybe i didnt add enough salt or i didnt leave it long enough but it was pretty much a disaster...try going to the beach and collecting some water...it will probably work better....but it will be a bit dirty.

  2. That sort of combination can be very drying for your hair.  If you want beachy waves, use a combination of a styling creme + gel.  Mix equal parts of both and scrunch it throughout your hair.  Either let your hair air-dry or blow-dry it on a low setting.

  3. No, it probably wouldn't be as effective as Bumble & Bumble since their spray cost like $20 and mixing salt and water would probably cost you 17 cents. But the salt/water mixture still works.

Pour 1/4 cup of water in a spray bottle and add 2 teapons of salt.

  4. that will give you a beachy look you can also add a little conditioner if you want

  5. Salt water is very good for your hair i heard anyway!! yeah just mix salt with water and thats it!!

  6. salt drys out your hair and damages the structure inside of the hair folicle

just buy a product that is designed to do what you want but not damage your hair

  7. it would pretty much work, but not just normal table salt, its episome salt.
