Salt water tank, with blue damsel, what kind of lighting?

im going to start a saltwater tank soon and i was wondeirng what kind of light do i need for it? its going to be a 20 gallon and going to have live sand in it. im going to cycle it for 6 weeks(thats what i have read ) so waht kind of light do i need? also what light for nighttime?

how do i get enough algea growing for my scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp? and when do i need to put it in the tank? can i put it in before the 6 week mark?

  1. Blue lighting and incendesent bulbs work great! And to get enough algae I would use algae tablets so your shrimp will eat them. For the sand I would go with the 60 bucks one or both. If ur getting both do an experiment and see if the 30 dollar one is milky and ugly.
