Saltwater or regular chlorine?

ok so me and my mom are trying to decide what kind of water to put in our soon to be pool...we've heard that saltwater pools are better because they are less maintenance because the saltwater just changes to chlorine by the heat of the sun or something...is that true??

Salt water pools utilize a salt chlorine generator that is installed with the equipment and tires into the plumbing lines. They are less maintenance because you are getting a constant supply of chlorine but you still need to keep all the other chemical factors of a swimming pool inline. They also cause the pH to constantly rise so you will need to lower that weekly.

Saltwater for sure !!! because you can actually open your eyes without it stinging and everything you said ^ is true!!
