what type of salt do I use for my saltwater pump?? its an intex.Thanks

There is more to it than food grade salt. There are different kinds of food grade salt. The purer the salt the better- at least 99.8% pure NaCl. It should be evaporated, granulated, food quality, non iodized salt. It should be free of anti-caking agents such as sodium ferrocyanide also known as YPS or yellow prussiate of soda. Food grade salts can contain this so watch what you are buying.

Food grade quality is best for any salt system. It doesn't matter the brand. It dissolves easier and has no impurities like rock salt does.

Your local pool shop will have it.
