Has anyone been to the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres in Spain? Which airport did you fly into and where did you stay. Was the museum interesting and was there much to see, also is there anything else to do in the local area. I have been to the Dali museum in St Petersburgh Fla and was really impressed. I would now like to visit the museum if Figeures and would be interested to hear from other people who have already been.

  1. Yes I was there in June this year.  Flew with Ryanair to Girona and stayed at the Hotel Melia Girona (well recommended).  Then took a train, costing EUR 5.00 to Figueres and to the museum.  Figueres is a small town and there isn't much to do there except see the museum.  If you like art and you like Dali you will enjoy it.  I am personally not a fan of Dali, but as I was in the area it was a must to see.

  2. Hi, yes but a long time ago. I was staying on the costa brava in a place called Blanes. I flew into Girona airport.

As I recall the museum was pretty good.

  3. yes
