Salvaged Title?

My car has a salvaged title from being in an area that was declared a flood disaster zone. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car. No water damage or anything.

Does the simple "salvaged" on the title significantly lower the value or cause any negative effect?

Depending on the age of your vehicle (2 yrs old VS 10 yrs old) it makes a difference of up to 1/2 the value of the vehicle.  It is odd that you say that there was no water damage or anything wrong with the vehicle as the only way that they would have considered it salvage is if it was reported as a water damaged or other damaged vehicle.  Sounds like someone did not tell you all the facts when you bought it.

A salvage title makes you car worth less than 25% of a non-salvage car
