i'm thinking about getting a used car, it's really nice and all but it's salvaged. will salvaged title make insurance go up higher than it already is ?, i am 17. also the dude said it had no airbags. is there a way i can put airbags in there by going to a local mechanic or something ?

  1. For auto insurance the quick way to get a good rate is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you pick similar options with the same limits, car model, location, etc so that all options are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and will give many quotes on auto insurance polices.

  2. don't do it, you might not be able to get insurance at all. and if do and you have a claim you will get ripped off again.

it has a salvage title for a reason.

  3. You can get insurance on a salvagaed car and it won't affect your LIABILITY rates. You can put full coverage on a salvaged titled car but in the event of an accident 99% of the time they won't pay out there. Salvaged cars are scary, don't buy one. I wouldn't. It might look nice on the outside but for all you know the frame could be bent or anything!

  4. Do not buy this car. Walk away. Resist your temptation. This is not a nice car if it has a salvaged title. the fact that it does not have any airbags speaks for it self. this car was totalled and put back together haphazardly. it will cost upwards of 2k to put airbags in the car.
