The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper has fallen in love with the European club competition after making his debut on Tuesday
The Italy international has expressed his delight at PSG’s 4-1 win over Dynamo Kiev at Parc des Princes.
The Ile giants thrashed the visitors in their opening game of the competition, and Sirigu is pleased with his team’s impressive start to the 2012/2013 Champions League campaign.
While talking to reporters, the former Palermo shot-stopper highlighted the importance of the win on Tuesday. The 25-year-old said that the win is great for players’ morale and it will help PSG in their up-coming matches.
The Italian added that PSG won the game in great fashion and it will send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the competition that Paris Saint-Germain mean business, and they are here to stay for a long time and win titles.
“It was crucial that we start the competition with a good win. We wanted to win but it's always better to win in style like tonight.”
