  1. first they check your membership card to see if you member or not. An they check your recipt to make sure that you have everything that you bought an to make sure you acutally paid.

  2. My daughter works at Sam's Club. They check your membership card to "make sure you are a member." They check your receipt to 1. cut down on theft and 2. to cut down on cashier error. If something in your cart has not been rung up or has been rung up improperly, the cashier actually gets in trouble for it and receives a "pink slip." If the same cashier gets three "pink slips," that cashier then moves onto the next level of discipline. It is serious stuff. Sam's Club is committed to keeping prices as low as possible and this is one of the ways in which they do it. So, while it may seem like a pain both coming and going :), it really is for the consumer's benefit!!!

  3. They are counting items on the receipt and items you have to cut down on shoplifting.  They check your membership card to make sure you are a member.

  4. They check the receipts to make sure that you're not just carting out a bunch of stolen stuff (even if they don't check every individual item).

They check your membership at the door because it is a member's only club.

  5. Well they want to see your card

cause if you don't have it they won't let you in

you have to be a ''member''

i guess they check you receipts to see if you are stealing anything maybe they don't have those buzzars like wal-mart
