Sam Allardyce confirms that no offers have been made for Premier League targets Scott Parker, Cartlon Cole or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Green
West Ham manager, Sam Allardyce has gone on to confirm that no formal offers or approaches have been made for the trio of Scott Parker, Carlton Cole.
The manager has made these comments in the wake of rumours that all three of those players, are being targeted by the top clubs in the Premier League.
West Ham United, went on to see their poor season result in them being relegated from the top flight of English football and following this fall, most of the team’s star players were being linked with moves back into the Premier League.
Parker has been linked with moves to the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Tottenham Hotspur, while Cole was being linked with a move to Stoke City and Green was being favoured to be on his way to either Wolverhampton or Aston Villa.
Nonetheless, in a recent interview, the Hammers manager went on to address the media and made it rather clear that neither one of his players were currently set to be parting ways with the club.
Allardyce is quoted to have said: "The speculation is around Rob Green, Carlton Cole, and Scott Parker, and at the moment we haven't had any concrete bids for those players."
The manager then took the realistic route and identified that the transfer of a few star players out of the club, could actually prove to benefit the team.
The manager then went on to add: "From a financial point of view, it suits us to lose that financial commitment because the drastic loss in revenue [following relegation] is what we all have to face at West Ham; certainly the owners, who've got to really
back up with their own money to help us try to get back in the Premier League.”
Despite the manager coming forth and making these claims, it is hard not to feel that there is actually much more to the manager’s comments, then simply stating that no formal offers have yet been made.
Considering the fact that the manager went on to highlight the positives of losing his players, while mentioning the fact that no formal contact had been made by other clubs as yet, it is easy to assume that the manager is probably asking for teams to come
in and make bids for his players.
Keeping that in mind, it is more than likely for the top Premier League clubs, to finally approach West Ham for their players within the coming week.
