West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed he intends to hit the ground running when the English Premier League season kicks off.
As the Hammers prepare for their return to the top flight, Allardyce is planning for a strong start so his side don’t have to worry about the relegation battle. West Ham United have won promotion to the English Premier League after defeating Blackpool in
the play-offs at Wembley.
Having helped them to the English Premier League, Allardyce is determined to not watch them face relegation to the Championship once again. The English manager is under the impression that a strong start will be beneficial for the team when the season kicks
off.
Allardyce said while speaking to reporters:
“My http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is to aim as high as we can in the Premier League and not to say fourth from bottom is enough. Let's see how far we can get this team at the first time of asking. The real challenge for me is to prepare the team for the best possible start for
the first 10 games.”
Allardyce had realistic aims for the upcoming season, claiming he would be fine with any position on the Premier League table as long as his side weren’t in the bottom four. He was certain they would be successful if they managed to perform well in their
first ten games.
The former Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 boss was certain his side’s inability to secure points in the beginning of the season could prove to be dangerous for them. He felt a drop in morale early on would not be good for his side, which is why they needed to step up
their efforts from the start.
He revealed:
“That will take the pressure off as you're not in a relegation position every week, which is a constant gnaw at the player's confidence. That's the way forward if we can achieve it.”
Allardyce was appointed manager of West Ham United in the summer of 2011, on a two year contract. Upon his appointment, the English boss vowed to bring in attractive football and so far has held up his end of the bargain, leading West Ham United to the English
Premier League.
