Sam Magee and Chloe Magee storm into Mixed Doubles final at Turkiye International 2012
Ireland’s talented shuttlers Sam Magee and Chloe Magee delivered a great performance on court and remained successful securing their place in Mixed Doubles final at the Turkiye International 2012, which is in progress in Turkey.
In the semi-final clash, the in-form Sam and Chloe showed their aggression on court and remained successful in crushing their lower ranked opponents Jones Rafli Jansen and Hannah Pohl of Germany on Friday, December 21.
Irish shuttlers, who are the top seeds in Mixed Doubles main draw in the tournament, played to their maximum potential and they easily thrashed their un-seeded German challengers while taking just 21 minutes.
Sam and Chloe played to their maximum potential in this semi-final battle and remained successful in winning the match in straight games with a completely commanding margin on the score board.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Jones and Hannah tried their level best to put up strong show but they failed to match the level of their Irish challengers and eventually crashed out without posing threat in the arena.
In the first game, Sam and Chloe showed a wonderful aggression on court from the starting points and he remained successful in creating an early lead without facing any trouble.
Sam and Chloe remained positive all the way and they easily set up a huge lead on the board until the end of opening half.
After the break, the top seeded Irish shuttlers stayed calm and composed in the arena and they easily wrapped up the first game with a crushing margin of 21-5.
In the second game, the lower ranked Jones and Hannah geared up their speed to play positive badminton but again they failed to put up strong show and remained struggling until the one-minute break.
After the interval, the Irish coupled continued showing up strong performance and they easily managed to end up the game with a one-sided 21-10 score on the board.
The in-form Sam and Chloe showed their brilliance in the arena and they easily won the semi-final clash in straight games with a completely dominating margin of 21-5 and 21-10.
