Sam Stout: I want to seal my name on the trilogy against Spencer Fisher – UFC News
Sam Stout, the Canadian lightweight knockout specialist, in a recent media interaction commented that he wants to win the third bout against Spencer Fisher as it will not only prove how much he has improved in last five year but will also be a dream come
true.
Stout was of the view that this is the perfect time to put an end to the feud with the American Fisher adding that he will outclass Spencer in all the facets of the sport to grab an impressive win eventually engraving his name as the winner of the three-bout
extravaganza.
Fisher and Sam are scheduled to co-headline the UFC on FX4 pay-per-view and this will be the third time that both men will take on each other. At the moment, the score card shows one win on each side, the reason why the Friday night showdown has become more
interesting and exciting altogether.
Sam while putting forth his thoughts remarked that this is the best time for the third clash as Spencer is about to announce his retirement in most probably next year. Stout was of the view that he always had this one particular bout in the back of his mind
but was just waiting for the opportune moment.
Also known as the ‘Hands of Stone’, Sam stated, “I know the fans are expecting another drag-out war in this one. But I expect to go out there and implement my game plan. Me and Spencer, you put us in a cage together and it's a recipe for fireworks no matter
what our game plans are. So I'm sure it's going to be an exciting fight – but I don’t plan it to be a three-round war that's going to be a razor-thin decision.”

Stout vowed that he will outwit Spencer and stated, “I'm going out there to beat him, to out-class him and show the world the improvements I've made in the last five years. If I can cap this trilogy off with a finish, that will be like a dream come true for
me.”
Interestingly, the duo has one more thing common – the fact that they are coming from losses to Thiago Tavares. Fisher, 36, though is heavily experienced yet is undergoing a somewhat declining phase of his career as he has collected four losses and just
one win in last five bouts.
The bout will definitely mesmerise the New Jersey crowd and the duo, most probably, will replicate their previous performances against each other. The octagon for the bout will be set up at Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the showdown will
be televised live on June 22, 2012.
