Samantha Ronson gets injured in a BMX crash
After snowboarding, it is BMX that has made it into the news for being involved in a celebrity crash. The latest celebrity to become a victim
of an accident is Samantha Ronson, an English singer-songwriter and disc jockey. She came off her BMX bike when she swerved to avoid a car on her ride home on Saturday, 9 April, in Venice, California.
The 33-year-old Ronson was not wearing a helmet while riding the bike. This led to harsh injuries to her face after
the crash. According to reports, she needed nine stitches to pull her face back. One stitch was needed on her forehead, two on her bottom lip and six stitches were required near her eyebrow area.
She had a gig in Utah but not feeling healthy enough to go on with it, she was forced to cancel it.
Even though the number of stitches on her face initially sent her fans into a state-of-worry, they relaxed a little
after the celebrity DJ uploaded a photo of her's on twitter following the incident and entered into a discussion about it with her friends and fans. Clearly she had not lost her sense of humour.
The accident taught her an extremely important lesson and she did not waste any time to share it with her fans via
twitter. She advised all her fans to always wear a helmet while riding a BMX in order to avoid injuries in case they find themselves in a crash.

She further added, “Let this be a lesson… if you have a driver’s
license you probably don’t need to be on a bmx bike.”
Ronson has been consistently making it into the news over the last few years because of her relationship
with the 24-year-old American actress, pop singer and model, Lindsay Lohan. The relationship between the two came into media spotlight during 2008, but neither of them confirmed anything. However, Lohan finally confessed the truth about her relation with Ronson
in December 2008, admitting that she was actually dating Ronson. The two have been on-and-off girlfriends since then and have found themselves getting targeted by paparazzi and bloggers on countless occasional.
A lot of eyebrows have been raised to find Lohan missing from Ronson’s side during her recovery from the recent BMX
crash. However, one cannot blame Lohan for her absence since she currently has her hands full with her share of problems. It was reported just recently that her 50-year-old father, Michael Lohan, someone the American actress reportedly hasn’t been on talking
terms with for quite some time now, tried to break into her Venice Beach home on the 10 of this month. The 24-year-old Lohan cringed in fear in her cupboard. However, her father later claimed that he was spending some quality father-daughter time with Lohan
in her house.
Ronson’s BMX crash may get the sport a bad reputation in Hollywood because of the assumed danger involved. However,
the fact remains that an injury could have been reduced, if not completely avoided, if only the 34-year-old DJ had taken caution and worn a helmet.
