Question:

Same Battery?

I found two batteries that are virtually the same thing on two different websites- one at verizonwireless.com and the other at daydeal.com. One is $40 and the other $15; plus they looked different. Does that still mean they are the same battery?

  1. You might be better off getting the battery at a third party, these seem expensive. A battery professional I always go to is http://www.batterytex.com -- they're a great online batteries store that has batteries for all applications. Check out their prices and see if they have a better offer for you.

  2. Not necessarily.  While one vendor may charge a premium and another vendor may discount a price, this sounds like too great a difference.  The less expensive battery may be the right size and voltage but may lack in capacity.  In other words, it might not power your device for as long as it should.  It might also not have the expected life time and need to be replaced sooner than you would expect.

I'm not familiar with daydeal.com.  I suggest you read their FAQ before ordering from them.  The link is below.
