Question:

Same basic dream over and over! What does it MEAN?

Alright, I have been having TWO same basic dreams over and over.

DREAM ONE: I have these three guys I really like and I keep having a dream about him. It's normally we're at school, and he comes over and cuddles or kisses me, other times, he is with his ex-girlfriend, and then yelling at her.

What does it mean?!

DREAM TWO: In this dream, I am always trapped with some people and I have to get myself and them out, so I escape and then end up running, but my legs feel so heavy that I cannot run!

Often, both these dreams happen together!

Anyone know their meaning(s)?

Thanks!

  1. Dream 2 sounds like you are really tired of having to deal with something.

In Dream 1, you say there are three guys you like, then you talk about just one. What are the other two guys doing in the dream?

When two dreams often occur together, it's like your brain is trying two different ways to make sense of, or work on, the same problem.

  2. It sounds to me like there are two things going on here.  The legs being too heavy is probably related to sleep paralysis.  I get it some times when I am have a dream and I am about to wake up.  I try to do something that makes sense in the dream, but I am trying to do it with my non-dream body.  I usually feel powerless to affect the action.  I eventually wake up and can move again.  That could be what is happening with your heavy legs.

Secondly, I find it helpful to think of my mood, thoughts, and emotions in the dream.  It is usually more instructive to track how you felt than what actually happened.

I try to think of how I felt in the dream and then compare that to the way I have been feeling in life.  There are usually some striking similarities.
