Same course different uni why is it higher on table?

westmisnter university ask for 300 points for architecture

demortford university ask for 240 points for architecture

so according to the the guardian architecture table board, why is demortford higher in table compared to westminster?

i dont understand it

  1. It has to do with supply and demand. Let me explain. The more students that apply for a set number of places, the higher the points would have to be.

    In the example you pointed out, I'd bet that more people would prefer to study architecture at Westminister than at Demortford.

    The course at Demortford University may be a better course for architecture. The course may be a more difficult course than the one at Westminister.

    The points only reflect the number of applicants for a set number of places.

    So the points would be correspondingly higher for the Westminister course.
