Same dress, different colors?

Question

Would it look strange to have my 3 bridesmaids wear the same dress but in different colors? Like, I'm thinking maybe brown, orange, and green...let me know what you think.

have you chosen a style that will lend itself to all 3 colours?

are each of your bridesmaids of similar stature that will make it look like the same dress in different colours, or are the different proportions that will look like they are 3 girls wearing 3 completely different dresses?

would you mind if it did?

are these you 3 colours? these 3 definately go together but if there were more it would start to look quite overwhelming unless it was an accent colour like cream

i would stick to same general color but different dresses. not all dresses look good on everyone, so this way you still look uniform but flattering.

I love that.  I was at a wedding where each bridesmaid wore a different color and I loved it.

This can be done, depending upon the shade of the colours.

Sounds like it's a fall wedding - maybe think of jewel tones, so sapphire, emerald, ruby, amethyst, topaz....

I've seen this done for a summer wedding in pastel colours.

Light purple and maybe even red-maroon with like glitter dots 3/4 or 2/4 of the dress

I don't think it would be weird if they wore different colors as long as they had the same base color. what would look really cool while you were up at the whatever you call it... is if you had all of your bridesmaids in the same color but it went from washed out or more pastelly on the outside and then got brighter towards the inside... idk something to think about... I think it would be weird with the colors you chose just because they would not match as much as bridesmaids are supposed to... those colors aren't very similar... good luck :D
