After reading some of the responses to this question i am again convinced many people here are arguing with each other for the exact same or very similar things. They just cant get past the labels they have given themselves or others. Such as Traditional Feminists and Equalists. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aob245fu4L67k8rEOKHtzvoYxgt.;_ylv=3?qid=20080805132333AAzfL1w

Any thoughts? Does anyone else see it?

  1. People will always blame each other for why they do the things they do. No one wants to step up and say I am this way because I choose to be. It's more like, I am this way because "they" made me this way.

  2. I've seen it for months. People blame each other for problems they share and support shared objectives. It's all very Barney, really.

  3. Don't be fooled. Those people who try to wish away the anti-male aspect of feminism are not for equality any more than a holocaust denier is simply a lover of German historical culture. See Section 2 here http://www.freewebs.com/feminism-evaluat... to see what feminists think of men, and ask yourself what you would think of these sentiments if you replaced the word 'men' with 'Jews'

  4. Look at the actual question.

"Statistical differences exist between the genders, some of which are purely based on genetics (eg. height) some of which may have some basis in genetics but are socially exaggerated (eg. children's choices of play activities), and some of which are complete social fabrications, (eg. the tendency of men not to wear skirts.)"

She blames any and all differences on social factors. I firmly believe in equal opportunities but understand there are differences between the sexes that are not a Patriarch oppression.

  5. Some people have wrapped themselves so tightly in their beliefs there is no room for an open mind or change.  We can also see who holds tightly to their false beliefs and as we stick to our guns others will see it to.

  6. I agree with Rio...except for the Barney part - I don't speak Canadian.

  7. i agree with ya nik labels are what is focused on not what is being done
