Question:

Same quality as Canon eos digital Rebel XT?

I'm wanting to purchase the canon eos digital rebel xt but the model is no longer in production and I'm thinking I should go with a newer camera. I'm wanting something with the same picture quality (as similar as I can get) and price range. Any suggestions?

  1. They still make this camera, look here:

It's still on their new camera lists. The xt might have come out a really long time ago, but they still make them brand new, so they aren't really old for say, because they aren't used. This is still a nice camera, a very fine best selling camera. The only thing i have to complain about is that when i was holding it, and shooting, the 1.8" screen was really small, and puny. So, i think you should get the d40, it's a great camera, don't mind the six megapixels, here's what i get from this camera:

This is a really nice camera, it has a larger screen, which you can be picky about. You have more room for composition in the view finder.

  2. The XT was/is the lowest camera in Canon's DSLR line. Any of the cameras in their line will at least be as good. The replacement for the XT is the XS.
