Aleksandr Samedov is upbeat over the Russian national team’s chances of progressing to the World Cup group stages and has commented on Roman Pavlyuchenko
Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello, saying that they both are master of their own trades.
Samedov has urged his side to kick-start the opening World Cup qualifying match against Northern Ireland with a win under newly appointed manager, who replaced Advocaat at the helm earlier last month.
The Dutch tactician joined PSV-Eindhoven after the Euro 2008 semi-finalist failed to progress from the group stages at Euro 2012.
Samedov revealed that the Russian national team is progressing well under the Italian coach, who previously managed the England side. He urged his team-mates to display quality football under the former Real Madrid coach.
“I think it's wrong to even compare them. These are two completely different coaches both in terms of approach and requirements for the work. I think Capello is a more demanding coach who draws a lot of attention on team discipline.”
The former Dynamo Moscow man was quoted as saying.
The fact that Capello has excluded Lokomotiv Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 from the 23-man squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers does not surprise Samedov, who respects the new manager’s decision
to trust young players.
Capello, who earned a lot of respect during his successful-spells with AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and Juventus, dropped Pavlyuchenko despite the 30-year-old striker’s scintillating Russian Premier League form.
Pavlyuchenko, who moved to the Russian outfit after leaving White Hart Lane in January, has already scored three goals in seven league appearances this season.
“He is going through a tough period. Every player has a great desire to play for his national team, and Pavlyuchenko is not an exception. He is well aware of the situation and is working harder to earn the new manager’s trust.”
He concluded.
The 66-year-old Italian coach has named Dynamo’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artem-Dzyuba-c6682 to replace the aforementioned dropped strikers.
