The Bayer Leverkusen caretaker manager has voiced his pleasure at the midfielder’s return to fitness ahead of the game against Hamburg.
Bayer Leverkusen caretaker manager, Sami Hyypia, is delighted to see Michael Ballack returning to training ahead of their trip to Hamburg on Sunday, April 8. The midfielder was out of action due to a calf strain but has now fully
recovered as Werkself enter the most important stage of the competition.
The BayArena outfit was sitting comfortably at the fourth spot before an incredible slump in form which has pushed them down to the seventh spot. Werkself are now fighting to finish at least in the top seven to ensure their qualification
in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
Hyypia admitted that his side is currently going through a sensitive phase but assured their European berth at the end of this season. He enthused that the team have been training hard for the past few weeks and surely pick themselves
up against the Imtech Arena outfit at the weekend.

On the other hand, Hyypia urged his players to bring more flare into their game in order to get back to winning ways. He stressed upon pressing forward and creating more scoring opportunities. "I want us to play better and in general,
create more scoring chances. We all know how well they [Leverkusen] can play football," the boss concluded.
