The German international shared that there is nothing wrong with the Special One criticising Real Madrid players in the media following their hapless defeat at the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramon-c30533 Sanchez Pizjuan.
Real Madrid’s return of 4 points from 4 La Liga fixtures is the worst Jose Mourinho has managed at the start of a league campaign. Los Blancos’ defeat at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan was the last straw as the Portuguese tactician openly criticised his players
in the media.
Mourinho’s rant has seen him on the receiving end of backlash from past players and luminaries, especially Ramon Calderon. The former Real Madrid president could not understand what the Special one wanted to achieve with his words in the public.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325 took out time to reflect on the topic, claiming that Mourinho was in the right for much public rant on Real Madrid players. The German international claimed that Los Blancos did not give a display meriting their stature and deserved what came
their way.
“Obviously the Coach has responsibility but the players are responsible to play well and in Sevilla we did not do as well as we should have,” Khedira reflected.
“Mourinho is right in his complaints. We played very badly and he has every right to voice his opinion in public. For me, football is the priority.”
With the defeat out of their sights, Real Madrid are focusing on their UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu. Khedira revealed that Los Blancos are strictly concentrating on the European fixture as the
competition is tough.
However, the former Stuttgart player stated that they will not give up on their La Liga title defence, claiming that Real Madrid will not be focusing on a single competition.
Moreover, Khedira admitted that the recent chain of events have disturbed the atmosphere in Los Blancos dressing room but believes they will get over their problems.
“Now we must focus on the Champions League. The tournament is very difficult and we have great enthusiasm for it.”
“Defending the League title is also a challenge for everyone, so we will not just focus on one competition.”
“Our self-esteem is not very high, but you have to get it back and you have to get in tune. This will be a great occasion.”
