Sami Khedira looks to link up with Bastin Schweinsteiger at Real Madrid
Sami Khedira has sincerely requested German team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger to join him at
Real Madrid.
Khedira was one of the two German players to shift to the Spanish giants this summer, with Mesut Ozil also part of Jose Mourinho’s star-studded squad now. This resulted after both players enjoyed an impressive
World Cup, where they managed to become the new look of
German squad.
Schweinsteiger cannot be forgotten as his impressive plays caught almost everyone’s eye in South Africa, producing mesmerizing reports that have led to both Real and Manchester United
getting interested in signing him.
The 26-year-old midfielder is contracted to
Bayern Munich
until 2012 and chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has repeatedly said he is not for sale.
The question that is revolving in every individual and football experts' mind is that where will Jose Mourinho fit all these players? And just how many holding midfielders does the manager require at Madrid?
He is already going to face serious challenges accommodating the returning Kaka, who he may well decide to sell. So is it even possible for Schweinsteiger to make it into the starting eleven at Madrid?
Manchester United have known to be spontaneous to bag up the talented 26 year old play maker but it seems they may be in line to the situation by the Spanish Giants as
Bayern Munich,
who are found to have admitted defeat with regards to the German international.
Louis Van Gaal’s side, who were expected to dominate the domestic league in Germany, have managed to drop way of their normal pace and are currently seventeen points of the league leaders, Borussia Dortmund.
With Real Madrid already looking to be overflowing with midfielders at the moment, it could potentially be close to calling it career suicide if Schweinsteiger ends up moving to Spain. However, if Mourinho does wish to make him a part of his plans after
listening to what Khedira has to say, then perhaps the manager will make room for the player himself and launch a formal bid in January. That is of course if United don't beat him to the punch.
