The Manchester City player has apologised to his fans and the French supporters for his foul-mouthed outburst at journalists during Les Bleus’ dismal Euro 2012 campaign
The 25-year-old is facing a two-year ban from France team after he was involved in a heated confrontation with French reporters following Les Bleus’ 2-0 defeat by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 that put an end to France’s ill-fated Euro 2012 campaign.
Nasri was involved in couple of controversial incidents at the European Championship. The Frenchman celebrated his goal against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 by shouting ‘shut up’ to journalists and then insulting and challenging a journalist to a fight following his country’s
quarter-finals loss against the reigning champions.
The French football federation (FFF) is investigating the matter and are considering making an example of him to avoid any such incidents in the future.
Samir Nasri took to twitter in an attempt to avoid the potential ban and explain his position.
“Too many false truths are circulating at the moment. The fans and especially the children should know that I sincerely regret my actions as my words could have shocked them.”
The former Marseille player reiterated his affection for his country and said that he always plays for the team and will continue to give his hundred percent for France in future.

The 25-year-old revealed that press is particularly targeting him and is spreading false news about him. Nasri vowed to clear his position and said that he will explain everything when the time will be right.
"As for the rest, this is a personal matter between me and a few journalists. I will explain when the time comes." Nasri added.
French football federation president Noel le Graet described Nasri’s attitude as unprofessional and stated that there is no doubt about player’s potential but he needs to control his impulses or he could end up in hot water.
