Manchester City midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 has claimed that he didn’t leave Arsenal for the money and that there was much more at stake.
Samir Nasri went on to leave the Gunners and join City at the start of the season for a fee set to be around twenty three million pounds. However, with many believing that the midfielder made the move due to financial reasons, Nasri has decided to clear
the air.
Nasri has now gone on to state that it was the difference in ambition between the two teams that made him make the switch and the fact that City are on top of the Premier League table, really goes to show just what his move was all about.
The twenty four year old French international, when talking about his move and why he choose to make the switch is quoted to have said: "When you're a fan of a club, you don't know what happens on the inside. The easiest thing for the fans to say is 'He
went there for the money, he betrayed us'.”
"I had a better [financial] proposition in another country, which I didn't choose.”
"Yes I have good wages here, I can't deny, but every player has good wages. If you play at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, you have better wages than somewhere else.
"I didn't choose Manchester City for the money. The Premier League table shows that."
Nasri then went on to admit that he has had one of his best seasons to date and that it’s only a matter of time before he picks up his form and starts to run the show for City, just like he did at Arsenal.
Despite Nasri making the claims of him not leaving for the money, it is easy to believe that his fall out at the Emirates occurred because the team just didn’t want to meet his wage demands.
Nonetheless, whatever Nasri says now seems more than irrelevant, since even the best justifications in the world won’t be able to help the player save himself from the wrath of the Gunners fans for many seasons to come.
