Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 believes that Arsenal need to start playing ugly if they want to win big.
Samir Nasri decided to leave Arsenal and join Manchester City at the start of the Premier League season and since then, he has been a vital part of the City squad.
While City are currently sitting on top of the Premier League table and are contending for the Europa League trophy as well, Arsenal seem to be out of just about every cup competition, while they are fighting to secure the fourth spot in the league table.
Nasri feels that he now knows just what is wrong with the Gunners and believes that it is a lack of flair and determination, which has caused the team to perform so poorly in recent weeks.
At the same time, the French international feels that the Gunners need to start playing ugly football, which might not appeal to everyone on a visual level, but would help the team pick up the three points at the end of the day.
When talking about his former club and just what’s wrong with them, Nasri is quoted to have said: “In football, sometimes it’s good to win ugly – you don’t always have to play good football to win”
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 play good football, but after seven years, they don’t win so that’s difficult for them. We did it [won ugly] against Aston Villa and Porto, but the problem is that everyone is used to 5-1 and 6-1 victories and, in a season, you have moments where
you don’t feel the same way.”
"It’s important to win points and win games and that’s what we have done. I wanted Arsenal to win the FA Cup or something because I have respect for the players there and the manager.”
It is hard not to agree with Nasri, given how poorly Arsenal have started to perform in recent weeks. The team simply has one tactic and when that fails, the Gunners just can’t seem to do anything.
Nonetheless, it is now up to Arsene Wenger to decide just what he wants to do with the team, as the manager looks to ensure his team finishes in the top four at the end of the season.
