England’s talented all-rounder, Samit http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Huzefa-Mohammed-Patel-c63657, has decided to pull out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in a bid to play County Championship matches, which he thinks, will pave the way for his long-awaited selection in the national Test squad.
Patel claims that the biggest milestone that he is eager to achieve as soon as possible is Test cricket. He wants to deliver some eye-catching performance in the next County season in order to impress the national selectors and get the Test cap.
The spinner c*m right-handed batsman reveals that he has withdrawn from the cash-rich IPL on the advice of some of his well-wishers. However, he vows to play the league tournament in the future after cementing his berth in the 5-day format of the game.
Talking to the media, Patel said, “My biggest ambition is to play Test cricket," Patel said. "I need to score a high volume of runs in the Championship to push my case. If I was selected for the IPL then I would miss several Championship matches and that
won't help me at a time when I need to do everything I can to impress the selectors.”
He further told, “I have listened to the advice from people that I trust and it is clear that this decision is the right one to have made for cricket reasons.”
Patel is keen to impress the selectors at any cost, as he cannot afford to wait more for the Test spot. The 27-year-old staged his International debut in 2008. He played all ODI and T20I games during England’s tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 a month back. His experience on
