Samitar all set for a glorious finish in the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Sprint at Newmarket
Samitar’s stellar form has given her connections confidence in her ability to bag a victory in the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Sprint, which is scheduled to take place at Newmarket on 18th April,
2012.
Racing against fourteen other runners, he will take on the 6 furlong track for a purse of £81,150 on a surface that has been labelled good.
The three-year-old filly, who is trained by Mick Channon for owners, Nick and Olga Dhandsa, and John and Zoe Webster has had a brilliant career so far.
In her six starts, she finished twice in third place, twice as a runner-up and landed two.
Mounted by jockey, Jamie Spencer, he landed a narrow victory of ¾ of a length over, Inetrobil, in the Albany Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) at Ascot on 17th June, 2011.
She bagged a majestic victory in the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Fillies' Trophy at Newmarket on 1st October, 2011, where she raced as a favourite with the odds of 5 to 4.
This time it was Sam Hitchcott, who led her to the victory over Hazel Lavery by 1 ¼ lengths.
This will be the seasonal debut for the daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar, out of mare, Aileen's Gift, and she will be aiming for a solid run in today’s race. Breaking out of post 6, she will be ridden by Jamie Spencer.
Swiss Spirit will enter this race from post 15, and will be teamed with jockey, William Buick. The son of Invincible Spirit, out of Swiss Lake will be making his seasonal debut in today’s race, and he will be aiming for a placed finish or more.

2011, where he fell 2 lengths behind runner-up, Miss Lahar.
He defeated, Discression, by 1 length and downed the victory in the Reg Griffin Appreciation EBF Maiden Stakes at York on 11th June, 2011, where he raced as a favourite with the odds of 4 to 6.
Samitar is the speculated winner, but it will not be an easy victory for her. Swiss Spirit will bring his best to the table and will aim to crush the rest of the competition and emerge victorious.
