The FC Hollywood sporting director is highly anticipating the crucial Sunday clash with Borussia Dortmund, and wants Bayern to become the first team to win the competition five times.

The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 central midfield player suggested that Sunday’s showdown will have no effect on the outcome of the upcoming German League, but insisted that he is excited to see who comes out on top. The director also
wanted to determine the current form and fitness of the Bundesliga clubs.
Der FCB official said that they are still in the offseason phase but the competition has already started with the arrival of the Supercup. He stressed that it will be a consequential game and his team will be aiming to win it at
all costs as it will aid their cause to boost confidence.
"It's still pre-season, but the Super cup is obviously an important game. We're looking forward to it, and naturally we want to win," Sammer was quoted as saying in an interview.
Moreover, the 44-year-old believed that the cup does not shape the league campaign but is followed immensely as it tells the state the team is in.
"The Super cup rarely serves as a reliable point of reference for the new Bundesliga season, but it is always closely watched, and it provides a first check on the current status quo,” he added.
Sammer further stated that winning the competition does not get you any points in the Bundesliga and even if you lose the match, there are no lost points in the table.
"You can win the Super cup but you still have no points. And in the event you do not win it, you have not dropped any points," he concluded.
Die Bayern won the title in 2010 when they defeated Schalke and were runners-up in 2008, losing out to the BVB.
