The most promising entry for the Class 4 Leamington Food And Drink Festival Handicap (Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Qualifier) is the four-year-old bay gelding, Sammy Alexander. He will have eleven other three-year and above contestants to face over a mile,
two furlongs and 188 yards on Monday, 27th August at Warwick. The race carries the prize money worth £5, 175.
None of the entries have raced at Warwick lately.

His seasonal debut was in the Brewin Dolphin Handicap on 29th May, 2012 at Chepstow over a mile and two furlongs. Riding with Jamie Spencer, he did not break into a high gear right after leaving the third stall. Keeping on with the steady approach,
he closed in on the leaders when there remained the final two furlongs. The final furlong was challenging for the four-year-old but staying on well got him the race by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths.
Qualifying as the runner-up of the race was, Only You Maggie, who was soon followed by, Aciano.
The bay gelding out of, Sweet Angeline, had his next stop in the Bath Marquees Handicap on 15th June, 2012 at Chepstow over a mile and two furlongs. Even though entered as the favourite, Sammy Alexander was the last in the field of four.
Hamilton Hill won the race by the margin of good seven lengths with Raul Da Silva onboard.
The second success of the season for the Mrs. T. A. Foreman bred and owned was in the Walker Transport Handicap on 10th August, 2012 at Newmarket over a mile and two furlongs.
This time he was paired up with the genius of his profession, William Buick, and the two became prominent only towards the last two furlongs of the race and won it by the margin of ¾ of a length.
The favourite entry of the race, Nave, settled third after the winner.
The 7 to 1 entry will race in the capable hands of jockey, Jamie Spencer, who will ride out with the mount from the fifth gate.
