The Blucerchiati manager Giuseppe Iachini welcomed the AC Milan striker to consider a return to the club, but Il Doria owner has nipped the move in the bud through a public statement.
Sampdoria manager Giuseppe Iachini had opened the club’s doors for their former striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302, but the doors have been instantly slammed shut by the club’s owner Riccardo Garrone.
The Italy international is currently participating in the Euro 2012 with the Azzurri, and raised doubts over his future with the Rossoneri through a statement following the news of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Silva’s seemingly imminent departure from San Siro.
Some reports in the media suggested that the temperamental striker could be on his way to make a return to his former club Sampdoria, and the Blucerchiati manager gave a statement to encourage the striker to consider the move.
Iachini stated that while he is unaware of the Rossoneri striker’s precise state of affairs with his club, he would love to open his arms in the welcome of their former ace.
While talking to Radio Mana Mana, the Samp chief said:
“I’m not aware of his situation at Milan, but Sampdoria would be ready to welcome him back should he want to return.”
However, club owner Riccardo Garrone is less keen to see Cassano return to his outfit, after having clashed with the striker leading to his exit to AC Milan in 2011.
The Blucerchiati chief stated that while he has forgiven the Rossoneri striker, he believes that the return of the temperamental attacker will only serve to disrupt the peace around the dressing room, and negatively affect the unity between the team-mates.

While talking to TMW, Garrone said:
“I have forgiven Cassano, I did that a long time ago. But I don’t think that he is compatible with our needs to have a cohesive squad and a tranquil changing room. We are talking about a great champion, without doubt, but every now and again he discharges
shrapnel that doesn’t benefit anyone.”
