Sample rate switch issue

Question

for some strange reason every time i try to change the sample rate in the card's control panel (mixer), I get an error message telling me the switch failed and to close any programs using it, also Native instruments Traktor DJ Studio 3 (Demo) refuses to accept any bit rate except 44.1kHz.I'm running Win XP Pro x64 SP2 if that helps
