Sams Club vs. Costco?

Which is better? We're getting ready to get a membership from one or the other. I was going to just get a costco membership because it was closer, but if Sams is better I'll drive the extra mile.

I've had memberships in both and Costco's is better - - there selection is wider and the quality of their goods seemed better to me.

I think it would depend on what kind of mercandise you are looking for.  I wish I could afford a membership to both as I enjoy many things from both stores.
