Question:

Samsung 42" Plasma TV, what is the range that I would get at a pawn shop for it?

It is a used tv, but in great condition, model number #SP-P4251. It is an EDTV. The price NEW ranges from about $1800-$2000, what do you think a pawn shop would give me for it, based on that? I know pawn shops tend to be a rip off, but I just don't know by how much, like do they cut the price in half? or in 3rds? Any help on a price range I would get, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =]

  1. Depending upon how new the tv is and how nice of a pawn shop you go to makes a big difference.  You will most likely be able to get 1/3 of the price, or about $600.  The pawn shop will probably sell for 2/3 price, or about $1200.  The difference being around 1/3 of the price made in profit or about $600.

A pawn shop that will give you half will be hard to find, but if you can get 800 or more definitely take it.

You would probably have better luck selling it on ebay.com.  You will most likely sell for more money probably $1000 and then with postage and everything you will probably lose around $100, aka a $900 tv.  Probably your best bet is a website like ebay or half.com

    Good Luck
