Question:

Samsung 650 series PC input?

I am looking at getting a Samsung LN40A650 TV, and am trying to figure out what the PC video input is. If you zoom in to the picture of the back on Amazon.com, the PC video input looks like a VGA input, but I saw somewhere else that it is DVI. Can someone tell me (preferrably that owns one and has tested it) whether is it is a VGA or a DVI input?

  1. All "PC" inputs on Samsungs are VGA.  If it were DVI it would be labeled that.  If the set has HDMI inputs then It won't have DVI.  It seems that DVI has lost the hook up wars.  Probably because DVI don't carry audio.

PC input is 15 pin Sub D *****RGB*****

  2. You can use either the VGA or DVI output from your PC.  It does not have a dedicated DVI input, however there are DVI to HDMI cables and adapters available for purchase.
