I have the w580i and I love it. Great reception, great sound. If you don't keep the lights on all the time, by looking at the really cool graphics, the battery will last about 3-4 days. When this model first came out, it had a bad reputation for keys breaking easily, but that was fixed within a few months.

I did discover one potential problem with it. The usual setting is that keylock goes on when the slider is closed and keylock turns off automatically when the slider is open. If you use a belt pouch with a magnetic clasp, the keylock turns off and may dial numbers while in the pouch. It doesn't happen if the belt pouch has a velcro or snap closure.

The built-in step counter is kinda cool, especially if you're a runner, because the built-in software allows you to set up a full exercise program. The camera is only 2mp, but it has a few nice options and can take a series of pics as a single panorama.

The FM radio uses the wired headset as the antenna, so you can't listen to the radio through the built-in speaker. No big deal if you really intend to use the phone as a walkman anyway. The Walkman will play though the speaker however.

Make sure you get the biggest possible memory card thrown in with the deal. Providers are giving anything from 512mb to 8gb as free cards and those little M2 cards are not cheap to buy.
