After switching the TV on, the picture appears for about a second, then the screen goes dead, I can still hear the sound but the screen is dead.

Any idea what this can be? All the wires are connected right. It worked when i left home in the morning, and when i got back from work it didn't.

  1. I've owned plenty of samsung products in the past, and have never had a serious issue. It does however sound like there's a problem with your set. If you bought an extended warranty for it, give the retailer a call, or if it's still under manufacturer's warranty (usually 1 year) give them a call and try and setup a repair.

  2. Typical samsung

You are now in for the long ride,  as customer service and repairs are rubbish

    Should have bought a Panny

I read up on Samsung reliabilty and service,  and bought another brand

  3. i have seen this a few times. what model? most of those issues i have seen on the plasma a550 series and only once on the lcd a650 series. has nothing to do with plasma or lcd. just a bad video board. if you are within your return policy, return it asap. samsung makes good products but even BMWs break, lol.
