Samsung HT-TX72 connection question?

What do I need to do to the DVD/Receiver in order to get it to upconvert to 1080??? I am connecting it to my TV with an HDMI cable.

It is supposed to do up to 1080i upconversion, but probably be default is gives just 480p (progressive) output.

I don't know the machine, but I suspect there is a menu that allows you to define the video output type (e.g. component, HDMI) and the resolution. Select HDMI and 720p or 1080i as the output. You do of course have to have an HDTV to get an HD signal to display correctly .. but since you are using HDMI I assume it is.

Another thought ..,, mentioned just to be sure ... if there are more than one input into the HDTV you have to be sure it is the HDMI input you are using.
