Question:

Samsung HT-X50 - Play XM Radio?

Hi -

I recently purchased this home entertainment system. I love it.

It says that it is XM radio "ready."

I have an XM radio express for my car. I'd like to use it indoors? 1) How do I hook up ANY XM radio to the Samsung? 2) Would my Express work?

Thanks for any and all assistance.

Best,

Kevin

  1. The system is listed as being "XM Ready" meaning that you can purchase an antenna that will plug into the back of the system. Once you have purchased the antenna, you can add a line and then the X50 will esentially become its own XM radio with its own tuner built into it.

Generally, if you have a portable XM radio, there's no need to purchase this separate adapter and add an extra line to your account. I would reccomend purchasing a 3.5mm Y cable from a local electronics shop like Best Buy. It has a headphone jack on one end that would plug into your Express and two "red and white" RCA cables that will plug into the back of the X50.
