Samsung J1253S & Burning Smell?

Noticed a buring smell coming from Samsung J1253S Washing Machine it also stops midspin. Also had "5E" sign show up on the screen. I checked the manual and it advised me to clean the debris filter which i did (a small amount of twine came out) I tried to finish the load but then the machine stopped again on the spin cycle. I was also advised to check the hose in the back, I checked this and it was fine. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated...at wits end because this machine has just passed its warranty :(

Full marks for any help

Thanks in advance :(

  1. The reason you are having problems is that your machine is bunged up solid with limescale and sludge, there is a feed pipe from the tub that goes to a switch to tell the machine when its full of water, as this is blocked the machine does not know when its full or empty. The heater will come on with little or no water in the machine hence the burning smell, and when it is on spin the machine will think its still full of water that is why you have a fault code come up. You must get it serviced or run descaler through it or it will flood the kitchen or burn out the heater.
