Question:

Samsung LCD TV - Sporadic Blank screen??

I just bought a Samsung LN40A450 40 inch LCD TV and I have noticed that the screen goes blank for a half second sporadically during the first 2 minutes it is switched on. The "lapses" are anywhere between 5-20 seconds apart and last under 1 second each. I have not noticed it happening with the DVD input selected (always with cable connected thru HDMI), and it usually stops within a minute or 2. At first it looked like a weak digital cable signal (without the pixelation) but it happens with too many channels and too consistently to be that. Any ideas???

  1. Bad luck mate, your brand new tv's screwed.

Did the packaging get damaged? Seems like an internal connection is not connected properly. But if it's mainly with the tv channels and not the dvd/hdmi inputs, then it may be the tuner is fried.
