Samsung hlt-5676 black screen?

Question

Hi ..I originaly bought this tv about three months ago and i do use it alot..all the sudden when i turn it on the sound plays but the screen is blank,the lamp light does flash when i first turn the tv on but it always did that..i just wanna make sure its the lamp before i buy one...also it was a floor model when i got it so it already had some hours on it..

pull the lamp out and see if it looks broken or the glass shaft in the middle of the lamp is not warped that is a god way to tell if the lamp is bad. lamp door is on the left side or back left side of TV you will need a philips s***w driver and maybe a flashlight to take out the lamp

Check the receipt from the store on the return policy.  Call them to see what kind of repair warranty you have before messing with it.  If you mess with it first, any warranty you have could be voided.
