Samsung or Sanyo?

Question

I am tossing up between a SANYO DVD RECORDER & VCR COMBO MODEL HVRDX625 or SAMSUNG DVD RECORDER+VCR VR-355. Does anyone have an opinion on which is the better? I am pretty clueless when it comes to things such as this.

definitely I will go for sanyo and surely if it is mae in japan

I've got a Samsung and have had no problems what so ever and Sanyo is a real cheap brand which means cheap parts. Samsung is a well know brand using high quality parts.
