Samsung or sony tv...?

Question

i need some proffesional opinions here. i am currently looking to buy/build my sound system from scratch ie,...tv, receiver, speakers etc..... i have been told that samsung is one of the best????

That depends... Samsung is good but it may not always be. What are the sources you intend to connect to the television? If you plan to do all HD sources than I would go with the Samsung. If you dont have HD sources go with a Sony because they usually have better video processors. So if you have hi-def ready to go I would suggest the Samsung if not, go with Sony. I would stay away from plasma unless you want to spend alot. If you buy a cheap plasma you will not be pleased with the results. LCD and DLP is probobly the best route to take. DLP will probobly better if you want a screen size of 50 inches or greater. LCD displays get more expensive as they get bigger. How ever if you choose to go with the DLP go with Mitsubishi. They manufacter some great televisions and alot of their newer tv's are 1080p. Also you really want to get good cables. Im using all Monster cables in my home theater and I definatly notice a difference. Good luck! If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
