  1. The series 4's are great tvs.  I have seen a few and the picture quality is remarkable.  Go for it, you will not be disappointed

  2. don't buy it. save some money and go for the series 5 or 6. or even 7. 1920x1080 resolution is the sh*t

  3. In my opinion the best tv is made by Pioneer, I asked several technical people and they all said the same.

  4. The 40" tv that Loulou above recommends the SAMSUNG LE40M87BDX 40 INCH LCD TV is a very good tv and is very popular. It sells for around £699. I would get this if you have HD, as it is a full HD tv. If you are only going to be watching normal SD tv then don't get full HD, just get HD ready (such as 1366x768). This deal and other Samsung 40" tvs can be found at:

you may find this site useful as it has reviews and guides to buying HD tvs. I wouldn't worry to much about whether it is a series 4 or not. This is just used as a gimic to make it sound sexier and I guess let you know that they reach a certain tech. spec. standard. What you need to make sure about is that it has all the specs. you require, i.e. good contrast ratio, perhaps 100 Hz etc. all depending on your needs.

    Hope that helps!

  5. I have a LE40 M87 40" 1080p TV and its the best telly I have ever bought, the picture quality is excellent, especially the further away you sit from it, dont buy 1 if you will be sitting too close as it will look quite blurred.

sorry dont know if this is a series 4.
