The streak lives on - San Antonio Spurs take a 2-0 lead against Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals

In the final quarter of Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs for the Western Conference title, the Thunder finally came to life. However, their 35 point outing in the frame was not
enough to cut down on the Spurs, who held onto a 120-111 win in the game and extended their winning streak to 20 games.
The Spurs needed only 28 points from themselves in the period in order to come out deserving winners in the game. Tony Parker was spectacular on the night. He ended the game on a 16 of 21 shooting performance
which included a three pointer to manage a game high of 34 points.
Kawhi Leonard posted 18 points, 8 of which came in the final quarter, to go along with 10 boards. He was 7 of 12 from the floor including 3-for-6 from behind the three point line.
Tim Duncan scored only 2 points in the final frame to finish the nigh with 11 points and 12 rebounds. The remaining two starters for San Antonio - Danny Green and Boris Diaw - did not add any points to their
tally in the final quarter of the game.
The biggest contribution from a Spurs point of view came from Manu Ginobili, who took over the fourth quarter much like he did in game 1. The Argentinean Sniper seems to be enjoying the role of being the gunslinger
in the final period as he added 10 points to his name and took his tally to 20 points on the night.
Thunder had a great final quarter to the game but their performance in the first half was just not good enough. Kevin Durant managed to get 31 points in the game, with only 4 coming in the final quarter. He was
very disappointed after the game;
"There are no moral victories for us," Durant said. "We were down. We dug ourselves a hole. We did what we normally do, which is fight all game, and we lost.”
James Harden finished the game strongly, dropping 12 of his 30 points in the last 12 minutes. Russell Westbrook added 11 points to finish with 27 points but took 24 shots to get there.
The Thunder team would want to quickly put these two games behind them and go back home looking to make their way back into the series. The next two games scheduled at Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City.
