The power forward Tim Duncan is considered as one of the most consistent players in the league. Since his rookie year in 1998, the prolific Duncan has earned the All-NBA and All Defensive honors throughout the seasons along with
being the perennial contender for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
The San Antonio Spurs’ vibrant forward has wrapped up a huge number of achievements in his career that will require a wheelbarrow to cart them away whenever Duncan retires. However this year turned out to be an abortive one for
the All-Star Duncan that also depicted the worst era of six games losing streak in his line of business. Battered and bruised, Tim his limping in his 14th season with an average of 13.4 points, 8.9 rebounds which is the lowest of his splendid career.
Although Tim didn’t had a great time with the ball on the court this season however he still managed to put an upright performance in a number of games to lead the Spurs. His ten best games of the 2010-2011 season are as follows.
12th October vs. Los Angeles Clippers
The All-Star Tim Duncan landed 17 points and gathered 13 rebounds to power the San Antonio Spurs in cutting down 18 points deficit for a thrilling 100-99 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at Palacio de los Deportes.
The Clippers took the charge stoutly in the first half of the game and procured a massive advantage. The two superstars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili sat out the fourth quarter when Curtis Jerrells and Duncan carried the action
to lead the Spurs for an electrifying victory followed by Gary Neal game-winning 3-pointer.
27th October vs. Indiana Pacers
At the AT&T Center, the power forward Duncan racked up a team-high 23 points and clutched 12 boards to spearhead the Spurs for a comprehensive 122-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Tim displayed one of the best performances
of the season to outshine the formidable play of Roy Hibbert and Danny Granger who scored 28 and 26 points respectively.
Duncan scored 9 points of his 23 in the third quarter to sustain the momentum of the home team as the Spurs overshadowed the visiting Pacers comprehensively in the final 12 minutes.
6th November vs. Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets arrived at the AT&T Center in a hardly fought meeting against the San Antonio. Tim finished the night with a double-double to support the leading scorer of the night Tony Parker for an enthralling 124-121 overtime
victory over the Rockets.
Duncan joined the action with the starting five and landed 19 points with 11 rebounds however the Spurs failed to sustain the momentum in the fourth quarter as the Houston escalated 113-113 tie. Parker surged impressively with
seven points in the preliminary minutes of the overtime to seal an exciting win.
17th November vs. Chicago Bulls
The sharp-shooter Derrick Rose was absolutely brilliant against the Spurs and racked up a blistering game-high 33 points however he lacked some support from the other players to outshine the streaking Spurs.
San Antonio displayed a magnificent team performance with their six players landing double figures comprehensively. Tim Duncan was the only player in the line-up to clinch a double-double and finished the night with 16 points and
18 rebounds to lead San Antonio for a brilliant 103-94win.
