San Antonio Spurs leading the Los Angeles Clippers 46-42 at halftime in Game-2: NBA Playoffs Recap
After getting schooling lesson by the hands of the mighty and experienced San Antonio Spurs in game-1, the Los Angeles Clipper have been able to keep it close in the game 2 of this Western Conference Semi Finals
as they look to avoid going down 2-0 in this series.
The game is currently in progress at the AT&T Center with the Spurs holding a 46-42 lead. Tim Duncan has been red hot on the night so far with 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting while Boris Diaw has contributed 7
points.
Tony Parker, looking to put the woeful scoring performance of Game 1, is still struggling to find his shooting rhythm and has only managed to knock down 3 of his 9 attempts so far for 8 points at the half way
stage.
Manu Ginobili has played 15:20 minutes off the bench so far and has also made 3 of his 9 shots for 10 points with 2 of his field goals coming from beyond the arc.
The Clippers charge is being led by Blake Griffin with 11 points while Randy Foye has helped him out with 9 points at the half way stage. Chris Paul has not been much of an influence in the game so far as he
has only attempted 3 field goals for 2 points to go along with 2 assists so far in the game.
The only thing keeping the Clippers in the game so far has been their impressive long range shooting - 5 of 8. Three of them have come from Foye and Maurice Williams and Nick Young has one so far.
San Antonio did show their experience in the first quarter and achieved a 15 point lead by the 1:45 mark. Clippers however managed their way back into the game with a 6-0 run to start the second quarter and late
in the first half were able to cut the lead down to 2 points.
However by the end of the first half, Spurs have been able to hold off the Clippers and are leading by 4 points at the break, 46-42.
