San Carlo Honda Gresini rider Simoncelli hoping to continue form at Motorland Aragon – MotoGP news
San Carlo Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli aims to carry his last lap performance in Misano into the upcoming Motorland Aragon event.
After delivering a neat a fruitful final lap, he earned a fourth position in the Italian GP.
Simoncelli said, “The last lap at Misano was a wonderful moment for me – I had great fun battling with Dovizioso and Spies, passing each other two or three times, and to have won that particular fight was great for me and my fans.”
After the Misano event, Super Sic is highly motivated to participate in the third Spanish GP of the season. He is willing to score even better results which will help him secure a better seat in HRC by the end of the 2011 season.
Considering the last few races, Simoncelli has been consistent in scoring decent results. Only the Indy GP was the event through which many riders suffered the front-end issue. However, the recent Italian GP was an amazing round for the Honda Gresini team.
After a podium finish at Brno it is possible that Simoncelli can score a podium only when he is presented with the right opportunity. The 2010 Aragon round was fairly good one for Sic and he likes the circuit so it is hoped that this season he will do well
at Aragon.
The need is to improve the pace in practice sessions which will help to secure a good starting position on the grid likewise earlier in the season.
His teammate Hiroshi Aoyama said, “I could maybe have finished with a better result at Misano, but I’m pleased that I have my confidence back with the bike as well as my own physical fitness. I feel in good shape to improve my results throughout the final
stages of the season, starting at Aragón.”
The Japanese rider is content to regain his confidence aboard his satellite RCV since his crash on the factory RCV at Assen. Aoyama is looking forward to go back to his original style of battling for positions in the race. Although he expected to achieve
better position in San Marino but still he is happy with results.
